One of the things that Editions by Frederick has become famous for is our integration of custom digital environments or digital paintings with our photography. Called "CyberSets" because of the root "Cyber" meaning computer and "Sets" for the parallel to traditional studio sets, these art pieces utilize the latest in digital imaging technology to create final art pieces that rival traditional oil paint media. Virtually anything that you can imagine can be created using these techniques.
Many clients desire to own their own unique art work created this way. But the obvious question is "how much does it cost"? The answer to this question is not simple as each work of art is unique and some may be created with a minimal of effort wile others may take days, weeks or even months to create. And so the cost is proportional to the amount of time required to produce the final piece, just as it is in other artistic media.
The answer to the question comes in two parts. If you are looking for an art work that utilizes an environment that we have already created (such as this cloud and pedestal angel picture to the left), then you will only have to pay for the photo session, the time to composite the image into the environment and the final print. Photo sessions and print rates are listed elsewhere on the site but the cost for compositing the image is usually around $200.00.
However, if you would like to have a custom environment created specifically for you, then the amount of time required to do this is substantially larger. Each image is different and so must be quoted individually just as you would have a quote from traditional artists working in oil, stone or any other media. While it is impossible to estimate the costs of creating a custom art piece, the range can be as low as $600.00 and as high as $10,000.00 with the majority of work falling between $2,500.00 and $3,500.00.
