If you think you need to look like a super model, then think again!

Many of our clients have looked at the photos in our glamour portfolio and commented "they are beautiful. But I don't look like that. I don't think glamour or boudoir photography is for me."

The truth is that most of the people in our portfolio are not super models, or even people of exceptional beauty. Most of the people in our glamour and boudoir portfolio are just normal people who have had the experience of the complete make-overs that we offer. We have shot people of all ages, all sizes and shapes and all skin types. To date, not one customer has expressed that they were not completely thrilled with the results.

How do we do it? It's as much about you as it is about us!

Glamour isn't about being a super model, it's about bringing out the best of what you already have. This before and after example has not been retouched. The only difference is the hairstyling, make-up and studio lighting.

The myth of the super model:
Many people compare themselves to images of models in magazines and assume that these models look like that all the time. In most cases, the final image is a result of hours of painstaking work by the make-up artist and hair stylist, the glamour or boudoir photographer and the computer retouching artist. If you were to see what these models looked like before the shoot, you would probably be shocked to see that they look quite ordinary and not nearly as glamorous as their photos show them to be. Given the same care and attention to the images that these models have, your photos will look just as glamorous

You're never too old!
So you think that glamour or boudoir photography is just for the very young? This is probably one of the biggest myths of all. Many of the worlds most glamorous women are in their 40's, 50's and older. But what most women don't seem to understand is that their husbands see them from their hearts and to them, they are and always will be, forever beautiful. Having a glamour or boudoir portrait done for your significant other is one of the best ways to say "I Love You!". Many women are very shy and hesitant about having a glamour or boudoir photo session done, because they see only what they perceive are flaws and don't want those flaws recorded on film. But their husbands see them in a completely different light, and once they see how thrilled their husbands are with the glamour session, they frequently come back for more.

You don't need a perfect figure!
If there was one physical characteristic that people are most sensitive about, it would have to be their weight. Believe me, I understand because I hate having my photo taken for the same reason. When Oleanna and I decided to create a "couples" photo for use on this web site, we shot the image of her figure in the shape of a cello and myself in a tux playing the strings. I HATED the image because all I could see was myself as this big fat ugly guy beside a beautiful woman. The comparison left me feeling even more insecure than if I had been shot alone. It took a lot of convincing on Oleanna's part to actually use the shot. But shortly after the image was published, we were shocked to discover that it had won several international awards. Letters came flooding in requesting to purchase copies of the print. We got orders from the Netherlands, England and the United States. Now this image has become our "signature image" and is used on most of our promotional pieces. I understand now that I am my own worst critic and other people see it as art that they want to put on their wall.

The point is that if you avoid having your glamour photo taken because you have an image of yourself that you don't like, you can be missing out on an amazing experience and the opportunity to see yourself in a light that you never thought possible. But what will be the most surprising to you is the way other people, especially your husband or lover, will see you. The fact is that you are probably far more attractive than you give yourself credit for.

We have shot many "plus sized" clients and the reactions we have had have always been positive. In fact, many clients, after seeing how beautiful they look, ask us if we have "changed" them on the computer. "Do I really look this good?" is a common reaction. They are shocked when their husband looks at them and says "Darling, that is EXACTLY how you look!". Once they see how beautiful they really are, it has the profound effect of changing their image of themselves.

Glamour and boudoir photography can actually be a life changing experience. One that opens up our eyes and allows us to see ourselves as others see us and to cast away the negative self images that have poisoned much of the joy in our lives.

Scars, cellulite and tattoos.
Life leaves many "bookmarks" on our bodies that we would often like to eliminate. Some, like tattoos, are from choice, and others just happen because that is life. Having children can leave stretch marks and scars that make people reluctant to wear anything that might show them. These things should never be a concern, as every print we make is computer retouched to perfection. We can completely remove any scars, tattoos or other undesirable features and make your skin "magazine perfect". We have been doing computer retouching for almost 20 years (about as long as these computers have been around) and we absolutely guarantee our results.

The photo session.
Many glamour and boudoir photographers will advertise a certain number of frames that they will shoot for a certain price. We know that everyone is different and many people are nervous about getting their photos taken. Some people do not even begin to relax until ten or twenty shots have been taken. This discomfort will always show in the final results. We base our rates on time, not on the amount of frames we shoot. We will shoot as much as possible within the time frame allotted to ensure that you will have as many choices as possible. We want to capture the essence of who you are and find that magic moment where you will allow yourself to shine through.

Comfort is a huge part of a boudoir photo session, especially if the photo session is designed to create romantic images or intimate moments. I am blessed to have my wife as a partner in our business. In addition to being a certified make-up artist, Oleanna also helps in the photo studio during the photo session. Her presence goes a long way to making our female clients more comfortable and she is invaluable in keeping an eye on things like stray hairs, unsightly folds in the clothes or occasional adjustments to the make-up. Your comfort is of paramount importance to us, not only because we want your glamour photo studio experience to be a fun and rewarding experience, but also because we want your final images to be the best possible.

Our guarantee.
If you are still hesitant about having glamour or boudoir photography done, let us reassure you with this promise: If, after viewing your final prints, you are not completely thrilled with the results and do not want the prints, we will refund you the full cost of the photo session with no hard feelings. We offer this guarantee with confidence because we know that we can bring out the very best in you.
